Composer, music theoretician and performance artist Güç Başar Gülle’s new albüm “Bensiz (Live)” has been released by MEYPOM label on digital platforms! The artist’s new albüm is a live concert recording of his 2013 album “Bensiz”, which took place at Borusan Music House. Dedicated to the artists in the Middle Age who didn’t sign their works, the albüm handles the concept of “self” with a different approach. “Bensiz (Live)”, which embodies classical music, jazz, Latin and flamenco elements together, is entirely composed and arranged by Güç Başar Gülle. The video clips of the albüm, shot by Aykun Tasciian, are live on MEYPOM’s YouTube channel!
Güç Başar Gülle dscribes his new album as “the story of how a musician isolates himself in order to find unity within himself”. The artist says “This era in which we experience the derivatives of something instead of the subject itself distanced us from ourselves so fundamentally that this illusion finally took over our consciousness. We started saying “me” often with the pain of this distanced situation.” “Bensiz (Live)” features Güç Başar Gülle on the guitar and Volkan Hürsever on double bass. The album was recorded by Alper Mat and mixed and mastered by Cem Çatık. The photos and the cover design carry Aykun Tasciian’s signature.
Güç Başar Gülle graduated from Berklee School of Music and was invited to projects lead by the famous music label ECM, Toronto University and Berklee Valencia as well as participating in many prestigious music festivals in America, Canada, Germany, England and France. His new album “Bensiz (Live)” is available on digital platforms!
