The 26th International Ankara Jazz Festival will kick off on November 6, 2022 with the theme of “Jazz Climate”, with 12 concerts, 4 workshops, 4 digital talks.

26th International Ankara Jazz Festival opens with Ahmet Berker Quarter concert. One of the most known jazz pianists of Ankara, Berker and his young talented group will perform an unforgettable concert. Berker is one of the Honor Artist of the Jazz Society of Turkiye.
Graduated from Gazi Faculty of Education Music department of piano, Ahmet Berker conducts studies in program, education, and performance since 1976. He continues his career as an academician in Hacettepe University department of Jazz, conducting studies on piano, jazz theory and jazz history. Ahmet Berker has given countless concerts around the world. The group will perform some special jazz standards.

With their own compositions and their jazz covers of known melodies, Ali Aykaç Septet will be on stage on the second day of 26th International Ankara Jazz Festival. One of the most well known pianist and arranger of Ankara’s jazz scene, Aykaç and his experienced jazz friends from Ankara will perform a concert not to be missed.
Consisting of seven members (piano, bass, drums, brass quartet), Ali Aykac Septet Ensemble arranges Ali Aykac’s own compositions and converts known melodies into Jazz form, offering a feast of music to the jazz audience.

Honoring the stages of the Jazz Society of Türkiye, Sibel Köse meets with jazz enthusiasts at Samm’s Bistro, as Sibel Köse Quartet, as a part of the 26th International Ankara Jazz Festival.
Sibel Köse is one of the prominent jazz vocalists and instructors of Türkiye. Since 1987, Sibel Köse takes part in different projects from duos to orchestras as a soloist and also takes part in significant festivals and art activities.

A well-known jazz singer from Ankara, Arzum Biner and her group consisted of famous jazz musicians from Ankara are joining the Festival with her new and different compositions, alongside with her Melody Gardot covers. We would like to thank Sixto Chill & Jazz for their contributions to this concert.
Born in Ankara, Arzum Biner has graduated from Gazi University Department of Vocal Training and finished her Musicology master’s degree at Baskent University. Taking the stage in various hotels and clubs in Ankara, Arzum Biner’s “Melody Mood” project consists of blues, ethnic and classical jazz with covers of Gardot, which she influenced from.

With their special project created for the 26th International Ankara Jazz Festival, one of the greatest male vocalists of our times, Aydın Kahya and a great French pianist, Jef Giansily came together. It will be a great concert, not to be missed by all art enthusiasts, especially Nat “King” Cole fans.
French pianist Jef Giansily has been living in Türkiye for many years, and jazz vocal academician and trombonist Aydın Kahya came together for the Ankara Jazz Festival for the first time. On this special night, the audience will be thrilled to listen to the popular hits from the master of American jazz standards and great pianist Nat “King” Cole.

Dolce Vocal Jazz Group will be performing with a large group of musicians at Last Penny, special to the 26th International Ankara Jazz Festival. We would like to invite art enthusiasts for an exciting evening of jazz and dance.
The vocal harmony group, Dolce Vocal Jazz Group consisted of three ladies, was founded in Ankara in 2011. Known for their lively concerts with delightful choreography in period costumes and accompanied by a jazz orchestra, special to this concert, Dolce sings harmonic arrangements of mostly jazz standards in a diverse repertoire ranging from 1940’s Andrews Sisters songs to musicals, to soul and Latin music favorites.

Young and upcoming talent Eylül Ergül will be taking the stage at Sixto Chill & Jazz Bar as a part of the 26th International Ankara Jazz Festival. We would like to thank Sixto Chill & Jazz Bar for their support to this event.
Being accepted to the Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory in 2008, Eylül Ergül continued her education as a pupil of Menekşe Akar in 2011. She attended the master classes of Alexander Tenaglia, Krassimir Taskov, Marylene Mouquet, Başar Can Kıvrak, Gökhan Aybulus, Muhiddin Durruoğlu, and Hüseyin Sermet. In 2014, Eylül Ergül won the young talents contest and performed G. Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” with Eskişehir State Symphony Orchestra. Continuing her education at Hacettepe University State Conservatory Jazz major, Eylül Ergül continues her studies as a jazz pianist and vocalist.
