A great event was organized in 2009. Esteemed artists from all over the world were brought together by UNESCO and were featured in the 6th International Euromericana Exhibition organized in the magical city of Campeche in the Yucatan Peninsula. This exhibition was an artistic meeting and a cultural unification.

Ayşegül Yeşilnil
Ayşegül Yeşilnil represented Turkey with her conference titled “Miracle” and her work titled “Ayşegül’ün Rüyaları”, exhibited in a Mayan temple. Yeşilnil received the International Mastery Award for this work. Painter and jazz musician Ayşegül Yeşilnil is a member of the UNESCO/ AIAP-UPSD. Yeşilnil suggested to the participants of UNESCO – Campeche exhibition this year. She expressed her dream of opening an online exhibition with the same artists. Participating artists agreed on this with enthusiasm. Many thanks goes to painter Arturo Elías Islas and his team who organized this historical meeting all the way from Mexico-Celaya.
The exhibition titled “Team Euromericana 2021” went online on the 29th of April, Thursday, at 19:00 Mexican time. It can be viewed on the platforms and pages mentioned in the poster.
This exhibition is an awe-inspiring scream of joy and hope that proves artistic unity and friendship overcome any distance, fear or a health crisis that has affected us all.
“Team Euromericana 2021” is a part of 22nd April World Art Day celebrations.

Ahtapot Tanrıçası/Octopus Goddess (Artist: Ayşegül Yeşilnil)
Painter Ayşegül Yeşilnil’s artwork in this exhibition is titled “Ahtapot Tanrıçası / Octopus Goddess”, a work of digital art drawn in 2021 during the pandemic. The Academy Award winning documentary “My Octopus Teacher” is this work’s source of influence. The artist has dedicated her work to the Octopus filmed in this documentary and to all those who contributed to the making of the documentary.
