Ufak yaşlardan itibaren blues-rock tutkunuydum. Mühendislik eğitimi için geldiğim İstanbul’da çeşitli gruplarda bas gitar çalarak bu tutkumu müzisyenliğe dönüşürdüm. 1,5 sene Kerim Çaplı’nın yanındaBeatles çalarken nasıl Miles Davis sololarıatılabileceğini görmek heyecan vericiydi. Muhteşem bir müzik okulu olan Lale Plak’ta 3 sene çalistim ve tüm bildiklerim kökten değişti. Hendrix Experience’den sonraki en iyi trio Esbjörn Svensson Trio’ydu benim için. Sonrasında müzik beni kuzeye taşıdı ve beş yıl önce ailemle İsveç’e taşındım. O zamandan beri Nordic grupları ile yaptığım röportajlarımı ve yazılarımı Jazz Dergisi ve başka dergilerde ’nordic caz’da dallanıp budaklanmak’ motto’su ile yayınlıyorum. I’ve been in love with blues-rock since my early ages. I’ve channelized my passion for music by playing bass guitar in various bands in Istanbul where I came to pursue engineering studies. I watched Kerim Capli playing Miles Davis solos with great excitement during the one and a half years I played Beatles stuff with him. I have worked at the incredible music school Lale Plak for three years and that experience altered all I had now about music by then. I would then count Esbjörn Svensson as the second best trio after Hendrix Experience. Music carried me to the North and five years ago I got settled in Sweden with my family. Since then I have been doing interviews with Nordic musicians and publishing my reviews in Jazz Magazine and in other magazines with the motto branching out.
