Pianist, composer and arranger Baturay Yarkın’s first solo piano album Hope took its place on all digital platforms on July 23 under the label of Ahenk Music.
Hope album, the uncertainties, tensions, stagnation and calmness experienced during the quarantine period; In short, it reflects all the feelings about life. These different emotions reflected, were interpreted with the piano instrument, on which musical contrasts can be conveyed alone.
The album, in which modern harmonic approaches and odd time methods are used, aims to explain that hope is a consciousness, awareness and philosophy of life that must always be felt. The artist, who is also a lecturer in the Jazz Department of the Istanbul University State Conservatory Music Department, has previously released 5 albums with Yarkın Duo, Baturay Yarkın Trio and TangEsta.
“Hope” is the Baturay Yarkın’’s sixth solo and first solo piano album.
