“Visual Rhythm of Jazz”
Painting and Sculpture Exhibition
1 April 2012 – 2 May 2021
Gallery 11.17 presents Atilla Atala’s paintings and sculptures in his personal exhibition “Visual Rhythm of Jazz”.
Atilla Atala brings together “individualism” born from solo improvization directed to respect towards gods inspired by Byzantine icons and the depictions on them with “unity” in collective work in retroscept directed towards their parallel natüre with jazz music during moments of performance. With a language that touches both modernism and contemporary art, the artist makes a visual emphasis on the fundamental elements of the genre and the concept of rhythm with the deep colors of jazz.
