Turkey’s first ever concert hall Cemal Reşit Rey (CRR) reopens in October, featuring many great concerts, after the break taken due to the pandemic.
The concert halls will be disinfected as a precaution before each of the 38 concerts that is to take place in October and November. The concerts will not exceed 60 minutes and string instrument players will be required to wear masks while wind instrument players will be placed behind screens specifically made for the occasion. Only 1/3 of the seats will be filled in the concert halls and most of the concerts will be performed twice consecutively, keeping members of the audience who are older tan 65 years old in mind.
CRR Concert Hall will welcome Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra as its first concert of the season, lead by Maestro Ender Sakpınar on the 5th of October. The concert program will feature great music as always. Jazz concerts are exciting but few in number at the moment.

This concert will feature many masters of percussion from India, Iran, Spain and Turkey playing their indigenous instruments, making the occasion a ‘world music feast’. These countries are very well known for their ethnic rhythms and melodies and he concert will feature different improvization techniques. Turkish musicians will aim to construct a bridge between the East and the West in this Project.
