Frank Sinatra, the singer, actor, producer and director that comes to mind when jazz is mentioned anywhere in the world, will be remembered on the 20th anniversary of his passing with a magnificent concert.
The project, aptly named Tribute to Frank Sinatra, will feature “Fly me to the moon”, “Cheek to cheek”, “My funny valentine”, “New York New York” and many more jazz standards that will be presented with a auditory and visual feast worthy of the legendary artist.
Frank Sinatra’s name is almost accepted as a genre of its own and beloved jazz singer Esra Zeynep Yücel will bring a new energetic breath to his voice and interpretations. The band members consist of guitarist and composer Önder Focan, one of the most important jazz musicians Turkey has to offer, who will direct the orchestra; saxophonist Yahya Dai; pianist Kağan Bıyıkoğlu; double bass player Ozan Musluoğlu and drummer Ekin Cengizkan.
An iconic figure in the popular music history with his romantic approach to vocals and his humorous attitude on the stage, Frank Sinatra will be remembered through the “Tribute to Frank Sinatra” concert series which will feature world-famous jazz vocalist Lena Seikaly as a guest musician.
“Tribute to Frank Sinatra” will feature prominent musicians as well as a beautiful visual atmosphere, taking the audiences to a unique journey back to the beginning of the 20th century.
