İş Sanat celebrates 30th of April International Jazz Day with Jülide Özçelik’s concert. The concert was recorded without audiences at İş Towers Concert Hall due to the pandemic. The singer added beloved folk songs to her repertoire for this occasion.
The arrangements for this concert were written by Cem Tuncer and the pieces featured include folk songs like “Anan Var Midur?” “Mecnunum Leylamı Gördüm” and “Yalan Dünya” as well as Özçelik’s compositions such as “Hayat”, “Zaman” and “Karanlıkta Kaldım”. Jülide Özçelik is accompanied by Cem Tuncer (guitar), Ercüment Orkut (piano), Volkan Hürsever (double bass) and Ediz Hafızoğlu (drums). The concert will be available for free of charge on İş Sanat’s YouTube account and website at 20:30 on the 30th of April.
International Jazz Day was created by legendary jazz pianist and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Herbie Hancock in 2011 and is celebrated worldwide on the 30th of April every year.
