Clarinet player Onur Çalışkan was accompanied by trumpet player and Izmir State Opera and Ballet artist Tolga Bilgin and vocalist İlyada Zayim on the 31st of March, Wednesday evening during “Onur Çalışkan “Esrik” Featuring Tolga Bilgin ve İlyada Zayim” concert on CRR’s YouTube channel.
Onur Çalışkan released his first album “Esrik” last year, bringing together the local melodies of Turkey with modern tunes and improvisations.

Onur Çalışkan describes Esrik as “This selection of sounds formed while listening, creating, when one steps out of the concept of ‘now’, embody a pathway to infinity with their improvisatory nature and is a state of ecstasy in which a long-winded journey leads to long-winded places. Being ecstatic means putting the responsibilities of consciousness on hold and embracing life in its entirety full-heartedly. The music in this album aims to remind the state of being and losing oneself in abstraction for a moment.”
