Selim Gürcan released his first solo album “My Music Box” on the 11th of June.
The artist recorded his 6-track album in his Home Studio. It features jazz and world music as well as Erik Satie’s “Gnossienne No.1”. Selim Gürcan is accompanied by Umut Tosunlar on the piano.

Selim Gürcan recorded his first single “Galata Tower” with trumpet player Can Ömer Uygan in 2018. He was recently featured in Sanat Deliorman’s EP “Bedevi” and Tin Pan’s new album “Marshmallow Heart” as the double bass player.
Who is Selim Gürcan?
Selim Gürcan was born in Ankara in 1977. He started playing the bass guitar in his youth. He took cello lessons while he was studying Violin Making at Anadolu University State Conservatoire, graduating in 2007. He took an interest in jazz and started playing the double bass after his graduation. He worked with various musicians and national orchestras in Turkey, playing bass guitar in 7 albums and the double bass in 3. He is actively working with musicians such as Tin Pan Türkiye, Tolga Bilgin Quintet, Dila Bahar Trio ve Sibel Köse and Önder Focan.
