Greetings From Turkey Jazz Network

Turkey Jazz Network started online meetings in December, 2019 and was founded in 2020 with an initiative of its 16 founding members. On April 29, 2021 Turkey Jazz Network has grasped an opportunity to declare its occurrence with everyone who is fond of jazz and improvised music.

Turkey Jazz Network exists to set up a network between festivals, clubs, and stages in order to develop jazz and improvised music. Turkey Jazz Network plays a key role in strengthening the communication between artists, organisers, culture professionals and audiences as well as creates opportunities to support the identity and diversity of jazz music and to broaden its influence over mass crowds.

Having welcomed a variety of organizations such as jazz festivals, jazz clubs, stages, Turkey Jazz Network believes that inter-cultural dialogue, communication and collaboration are prominent in creating social and emotional growth and economic prosperity.

Turkey Jazz Network welcomes jazz and improvised music producers to gather around and initiate cultural activities together. This network also supports Turkey jazz scene in the international arena. Turkey Jazz Network facilitates the search for a platform to collect and share information and experience with other members. Beneath these missions, Turkey Jazz Network chooses to organize a general assembly, working groups to be formed by members, trainings and cultural programmes for its members.

Inspired by an essential platform such as Europe Jazz Network, Turkey Jazz Network aims to develop jazz and improvised music in Turkey with a variety of projects and research.
