The third edition of “Jazz Camp” will take place between 27-31 August at Bodrum Gümüşlük Festival Area.
The camp, which receives a lot of attention every year, will host many esteemed named of Turkish jazz musicians. Sibel Köse and Ece Göksu will give vocal lessons, İmer Demirer trumpet, Engin Recepoğulları saxophone, Neşet Ruacan and Eylül Biçer guitar, Can Çankaya piano, Kağan Yıldız double bass and electric bass and Berke Özgümüş will give drum lessons. This year’s Jazz Camp also has a special guest. American saxophonist Ricky Ford. Ricky Ford will give saxophone and ensemble classes as well as jazz arrangement classes during the camp. Another special guest of the camp will be Erkan Oğur just like last year.
The camp will last 5 days and will welcome professional or amateur musician, students and jazz-loving participants and offer them instrument and vocal workshops, theory and improvization practices as well as the opportunity to share the stage with these prominent musicians and give concerts with them. Jazz Camp will start on the evening of 27th August at Gümüşlük Festival Area with the opening concert and will draw to an end with the closing concert that will bring together the students and the teachers on the evening of 31st of August at Stella Jazz Club.
